A Change of Scenery

This painting conveys a longing for a place of stillness away from our throwaway culture. Some things are eternal, in my art I communicate this with water, sky and celestial objects, water representing both the flow of life and the main element of support.

I used the richness and warmth of gold to indicate the suns reflection on the water, flowing in harmonious tranquillity.
The lilac tones combined with green create a harmonious and calming effect. The energy of these colours is intended to induce both physical and mental relaxation responses.
