I paint with cutlery such as forks, knives, and spoons, minimizing the use of brushes.
Painting with tableware is a powerful symbol that enables us to perceive the world from fresh and captivating perspectives.
The canvas becomes the table, the plate, and the emotions and flavors that arise when you see, hear, feel, and eat your food.
Just as you would eat your EAT THE COLORS artwork, you positon your cutleries on the canvas.
The colors and textures on the canvas embody the joy of the dining experience.
- Dining in the Deep
What if you ate a meal where you couldn't see anything? You'd be more focused on the sound of your fork scraping against your plate, the feel of it in your mouth, and the flavors that spread between them. I created a texture for the fork to capture this imaginary situation. I used a deep black and squiggly texture to represent darkness.
