Base paint is applied and buffed using rags. Top layer marks and elements are created with ink, wax pastel, fabric collage. Vinyl stencils are used for clean edged shapes. Scraping with an Exacto knife is used for some lines. Smudging and blending is used frequently.
Color, shape, texture and motion drive the process. The outcome is often, as is the case here, often ambiguous and even disorientating. Viewing from multiple vantage points in different light is encouraged so you can see different things at different times from different angles. Perhaps a metaphor for a good life view?
