Acrylic on gesso primed wood fiber (H50 W40 D0,3 cm) from 2009

Part of my Moscow Memories series. Since I lived in Moscow for 5 years, I like Russian culture and people. Of course, the inevitable tea-drinking and samovars as well. This still life is about my samovar from Tula. Tea time, with or without samovar, is the best time of the day all day long! Morning or afternoon, life is not possible without a cup of tea!

This work will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.

Concept

„I show the details instead of the whole, sort of inviting the viewer to embrace and understand their surroundings”

Dora is an abstract realistic encaustic artist: abstract in the world of color, realistic in the world of form, and symbolist in meaning. As a politically minded painter, she is interested in public life as well as social and economic processes. She presents her particular vision in these works. The dreamlike compositions are her intuitive reflections on public issues. At the same time, seemingly astonishing, strange circumstances and inappropriate details on a rational sphere might evoke questions in the viewer.

She mainly uses pure wax and pigments to make her paintings. Over the years, she has developed a medium that does not contain oil or any non-waxy additives. When she occasionally paints with acrylic, the characteristics of her figurative style transform into an imaginary interpretation of nature.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
