Concept

My name is Theodora, I am a mixed media artist and I love art in every form .As a child, I was using painting to express my feelings. As an adult, painting became my shelter, a place where I can escape and I can't even imagine a life without it.
I chose mixed media because I have a weak spot for art supplies and I enjoy to use them all in my work. During the long winter nights, I hide in my art studio for hours, exploring and testing new techniques and new art supplies. I love to discover new mediums and to invent ways to incorporate them into my work..
I draw inspiration from everything, from nature, from music, from books, from life and sometimes from images that pop up in my mind in unexpected moments.
I prefer to draw faces because I can add expressions and feelings in my work through them, but lately I also enjoy abstract art very much. Through abstract art I try to create imaginery scenics, dreamy words that my viewers can explore. Through portraits I want to express feelings mostly ,my fears,my dreams, my happiness, my sadness, my demons.
