Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 20 regions of Italy. It is one of the five Italian autonomous regions and is officially referred to as Regione Siciliana. The region has 5 million inhabitants. Its capital city is Palermo.

I really like this work with its texture, its unique layers of paste, as well as color transitions on the bottom of the picture.
I wrote it in several approaches, until the layers were completely dry. Frankly, it was very difficult to stop working on this picture, all the time I wanted to add something, darken the sides with pastels, and so on.

It was painted in multiple layers with a palette knife and brushes using textured paste. Edges are painted, unframed,signed on the back.
