I was invited by Italian artist Elena Morizio to participate in World Art Project "Reflections for change" as the representative of my born country, Moldova.
The aim of the project: by using the mirror and creativity to express your thoughts and feelings during the pandemic and lock down.
I decided to paint Themis:
"To express my feelings and thoughts by art, I chose Themis - the goddess of justice in ancient Greek mythology. The daughter of the god of the Sky and the goddess of the Earth was from the Titans's generation and symbolized justice and measure.
Themis weighed on the scales the actions of people committed during their lifetime.
So my question freezes unanswered:
What's on the scale pan under the symbol of "question"? Will we find out the truth and what's next?
Will we preserve the fragility of the soul, works of authorship, poetry, romanticism, or everything will fit the comb of statistics and new technologies ...
What do you see on the scales and what question do you still have unanswered?"
