Description

This picture is from the “Teenagers” series, but you see an adult girl in it. I was inspired by a place I love. Everyone has such places in the city or out of town. I wondered how differently we perceive these places 10, 20, 30 years later... It is possible now that the place is not like you remember it, but we still have those feelings, emotions, colors, smells, sounds that are dear to our heart. In purple and green, I conveyed the scent of flowers. In blue, the sound of the surf. In pink, the feeling of carefreeness that we experience when we are children. The yellow long stripe is time.

In my work I use only high quality materials.

Concept

The subjects of my paintings are children and adolescents. This topic is close to me because I worked as an art teacher and was in close contact with the feelings and problems of my students. Despite the fact that the heroes of my paintings are children, my art is for adults. When I create, I remember my first emotions and sensations from the distant past the delight of the sea, which I first saw, the first love, the first betrayal and friendship, the desire for freedom and youthful high spirits. My art does not allow me to forget the brightest emotions that people stop feeling after years. Before starting a painting, I collect visual material for a long time, make sketches and sometimes immerse myself in meditation in order to see the clear image and feelings that I want to express in a new painting
