The idea for this work was formed during my last visit to Europe. I sat at the street table of a small cafe near the Place de la Concorde in Paris, drank excellently brewed coffee and lazily watched what was happening on the street. Not far from me, a Frenchwoman, obviously of Arab descent, was briskly selling vegetables that shimmered in the midday sun with all the colors of the rainbow. Directly opposite me, on the other side of the street, an elderly gray-haired Frenchman, sparkling with snow-white teeth on his black African face, was chatting sweetly with a guy who looked remarkably like Jackie Chan ... The whole world around sparkled with different colors, they moved and mixed, complementing each other!
