This mixed media acrylic on canvas incorporates handwritten and print-out drafts of the artist's original poem "In September Gratitude," part of a series written in and for each month of the year. Their writing process involves many drafts, with hand-written edits to printed-out pages. Much sweat, self-criticism and "tossed pages." Painting comes more easily, with a flow rather than a back and forth. The small critter/girl reading was first noticed, in another orientation, by a visitor to the studio. This work has two signatures on the front -- one forefronts the little reader, the other was the original. Let the buyer decide, or use both (or others). Comes with the full text of the poem on 8 1/2 x 11 laminated heavy weight paper.
