It is a study of how a figurative work can lead to an abstraction.
On a rugged surface lays a glass weight, while, on the right, a string crosses the surface and goes underneath a metallic thread. Each square is subdivided into sixteen smaller squares, which have been treated in a rugged way as to make them appear like small, squares slates. There are graphics carved on the textures and sometimes teh underneath colors -reds, blues, deep greys- appear in transparence.
