The artist is quite interested by how volumes are worked in modern architecture and the texture of concrete used in such constructions. One of those buildings is the Museum Franz Gertsch, in Switzerland, witch which he fell in love.
Soon after the visit, the artist started working in some sketches and finally chose the present theme, and decided to work on a series, where he played with shades, tried to imitate and reproduce the texture of the raw material -concrete-, the geometry of the volumes, which, in his opinion, leads to an abstract space where white reinforces and dramatises the architecture.
The artist did some paintings on white, working with different and very subtle shades of white to recreate the space he had seen and then decided to let his imagination fly while respecting the initial sketch. He did come out with an abstract work, that can be seen from all sides. It does not have a definite way of being displayed; which is his goal.
