The inspiration behind this painting came via the end of my journey, from my 1st visit to Denver/Aurora Colorado.
I was in deep thought while I was in flight, I was thinking about the way that we perceive flight and space, We typically see it from a physical viewpoint… We fail to take the Metaphysical viewpoint into perspective, For example, every time we're interacting on social media we are using the realms of cyberspace. And while we're using flight, we tend to forget that we are not alone up there. The title was inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus who flew too close to the sun and fell to his death.
