"The Piano Company" is the sequel to another mixed media piece devoted to exploring techniques used by Jean-Michel Basquiat. For this piece, packaging from Polaroid film was recycled and repurposed into the painting by using a strong matte gel adhesive. Lots of references to music flood this painting along with real Polaroids of the painting during the process. This is done with acrylic, oil, alcohol, metal, construction paper, card-stock, film, marker, and gesso.
