I wanted to play with the rhythm of evolved and undeveloped forms, to establish a balance between literally transmitted forms and a linear progression of development, possibly as a representation of material and spiritual. I chose bright and clean hues like yellow, green, blue, and orange. The color red expresses passion and fire, while the woman's half-naked body and her back towards us represent a personal, intimate moment. In general, the painting is an expressive representation of the times when we understand our personal strength and find a balance away from the expectations and obligations of society and family.
