This is not sappy Christmas painting; although at first glance it might seem that way. (I enjoy sappy Christmas paintings by the way). This painting explores the depth of loneliness and sorrow that can make itself more abundant during the Christmas season. There have been times where I have felt cast out, not accepted - feeling left out of the party. But I know God never leaves me or you, and joins us in our hardship and pain. Though I may feel left out, he comes and wraps his arms around me. He, ultimately, is the life of the party. And he leads us towards a brighter future and a new hope. So this Christmas season, if you find yourself going through a tough time, you are not alone. God is for us - he came for us as a child in the manger. Because of that there is hope.
This painting was created on a 1.5 thick canvas, with the painting continuing around the edges. It arrives unframed.
