This work is based on fluid art (dripping acrylic paint technique), which few artists in Japan have yet practiced. In this work, the figure is obtained by dropping white, black, and silver paint from a spoon onto a ground poured with black paint, which is then collaged with a transparent film with figurative motifs such as eyes. The eyes are taken from a painting by Lucas Cranach (15th century, Germany) of a woman named Lucretia, who is considered a symbol of chastity. A signed artwork slip will be affixed to the back of the frame upon purchase.
