This painting belongs to a series of portraits of writers whose work I appreciate.
Here, Yi Sang, a Korean writer. Although relatively unknown in the West, critics have taken to nickname him the Korean Rimbaud because he was both very innovative in terms of language and his literary themes, and because he died very young.
Although I could not read too much of his writings, their modernity and radicality have left a great impact on me and have led me to reflect on the process of storytelling.
