This painting belongs to a series of portraits of writers whose work I appreciate.
Here, Mario Vargas LLosa, Peruvian writer, Nobel Prize in Literature in 2010. The irony and the precision of analysis of the social context of his texts remind me of Balzac. I like his elegance and his brutality, two elements that can be found on the features of his face. I consider his novel The City and the Dogs as a masterpiece.
