From my series of portraits, this painting represents Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. From a real photo, I tried to interpret the pre-existing image in the painting. The movement goes through the textures and colors of the clothes and through the snake that the man holds in his hand, like a lasso that the wind would animate.
Frida Kahlo is stoic and carries a skull in her arms. Flowers adorn the wallpapers.
I hope that the strangeness of the composition and the expressions of the characters will allow the audience to question the normality of self-representation.
