One day I met a cat. She approached me immediately and was friendly, but she had an impressive face that did not look like a cat, and I still cannot forget it. I made a picture of that impression. I found it difficult to depict the cat's distinctive facial features, but as I painstakingly drew it, I felt its personality gradually overflowed from the paper. The cleverness that lies behind the eyes and the curiosity that can be seen in the way the ears stand up. I was able to express the cat's charm through the painting, and when I finished it, I was filled with a sense of heartfelt satisfaction. Every time I look at the picture, the emotion of that encounter comes back to me, and I cherish the time I spent with the cat.
