The material of the work is acrylic gouache and canvas. It is not framed, but I painted the sides with acrylic gouache.
I used to raise a goldfish, but it died. After she passed away, I decided to paint the most beautiful place of the goldfish that I had been painting for a long time, so I painted this work. When I couldn't see her anymore, the beauty I remembered was the shimmer of the goldfish's back.
As for the particulars, I decided on the colors by raising the goldfish, touching the subject, and sketching it over and over to find the essential expression. It is important for me to make the space where I display the goldfish look generous and gorgeous by showing the large color surface.
