La Samaritaine n-2
Famous luxury store in Paris, temple of its luxury brands (Vuitton, Chanel, Dior... ) and devine atmosphere.
This is the representation of “La Samaritaine” Paris; a newly renovated big famous store in Paris on the river Seine near the Pont-Neuf and Le Louvre Museum.
Built in 1870, it’s a beautiful gem of Art-Deco, Art Nouveau, with delicate paintings and stunning sculptures inside and outside the building. It’s the temple of luxury and beauty, either by the building itself or by the quality of the famous brands on display.
Lots of people are visiting this place to look at the beautiful ceiling made of glass roof, and at the Art Nouveau paintings on the walls.
In using some blue and warm brown colours, golden painting and yellows, I wanted the painting to be luxuriant and cosy.
The idea of a place where you feel comfortable and surrounded by beauty. Where you want to sit and enjoy the beauty of the place like in a museum.
Acrylic on stretched canvas on wooden frame, protected by a bright acrylic varnish, to enhance the colours.
The sides of the painting are protected by a black ribbon,
Ready to hang on a wall: no need to frame
