BODIES OF LIGHT IN THE DARK

The dark can obscure everything, but I think there is always light even if it is difficult to see. My search for light becomes color that emerges disruptive from the dark and defeats it.
In each of us there is a dark, dark area, but the color and the light must emerge and be stronger.
I believe in people and I think they are important. I believe that in order to find her balance, the Ego needs to complete itself with the Other.
Mine is a series of paintings with tangled bodies, plastic bodies in relation to themselves or to each other, created with a procedure, how to say, in reverse: in fact it was born not by adding but subtracting, eliminating color.
I start by preparing several layers of color, which I then cover completely with black. Then the black is slowly scraped away until the color appears in one of the layers that have been spatulated, and so the image appears.
Here is the surprise of light. Color comes out.
What color it will be you cannot know before, one, one of the many layers, comes out. The canvas reveals itself and surprises me, I just have to shape it more.
