  • About this artist

    Concept

Influenced by Yukio Mishima, this artist began creating works that reflect the beauty and pride of Japan. Inspired by both Taro Okamoto's bold modernism and Picasso's groundbreaking techniques, he explored various forms and styles. Through this journey, he discovered that abstract painting was his most powerful means of expression. Since then, he has devoted himself to mastering abstract art, creating a distinctive style that integrates visual art, eroticism, Kanji characters, minimalism, and objects, all woven into a unique abstract world.

In addition to his work in abstract painting, he is deeply immersed in the study of Japan's otaku culture—a unique subculture centered around anime, manga, and figurines. Having watched thousands of anime, he has meticulously analyzed their themes, artistry, and stylistic elements across different genres. This extensive knowledge allows him to create abstract interpretations and art collaborations that celebrate the essence of otaku culture in a fresh and compelling way.

Furthermore, his daily practice of calligraphy has led him to a renewed appreciation of the artistic value of letters and Kanji characters. This rediscovery has inspired him to create works like "Overlapping Kanji" and "Kanji Party," where the beauty and complexity of written language become a central focus of his art. By combining these diverse influences, he has developed a unique artistic voice that appeals to both connoisseurs and newcomers alike, bridging the gap between traditional Japanese aesthetics and contemporary abstract expression.

His recent artwork incorporates elements of process art, where the creative process itself is emphasized. By rolling marbles to create spontaneous movements and embracing the uncertain outcomes that arise, it explores the beauty of chance and automatism, reminiscent of Dadaism and Surrealism. The influence of Abstract Expressionism, particularly Jackson Pollock's action painting, is also evident in the dynamic lines and forms that convey emotional depth.

The work also features characteristics of mixed media art, combining various materials and techniques such as marbles, liquids, ink, and brushes. These diverse elements merge to create unique textures and layers of meaning. Improvisation plays a crucial role in the creative process, as the artist responds to the accidental shapes and lines that emerge, adding new elements inspired by the moment, thus emphasizing the unpredictability of artistic creation.

By employing these methods, He continuously creates a unique abstract world that offers viewers new perspectives and experiences. His artwork transcends traditional boundaries, showcasing the possibilities of contemporary expression and allowing the audience to feel the dynamic and ever-evolving moments of creation.
