Concept

Art by Maximo creates flowing and structured works of art. I immerse myself in the matter and let myself be emotionally guided through the textures and chemical processes. It is my goal to arouse emotions in the eyes of the beholder - despite the minimal and reduced modernity, but with a sensual approach. I like the different haptic and sensual feelings of the materials and bring them together in a very small space to create a work of art. In my work, I am also inspired by the Japanese motto “Wabi-Sabi. It means the love of imperfection, impermanence and irregularity of nature.

The inspiration comes from nature and the trips I've made around the world. I try to bring different feelings, joie de vivre, nature, inspiration and interpretations into my customers' living rooms. For example, I also take environmentally conscious approaches like the Australian Desert Ground series, which relates to the drying up of the earth and the signal of bush fires. Or the series on paper (which was exhibited in Venice), in which I wanted to bring the body language of nature closer to the visitors by not only looking at the "body language" of humans. Nature also has its own body language. Structures in my pictures are also important. These show the fragility, but also the strength of life and the diversity of emotions.
