Description

In 2019 I was traveling a lot in the Mediterranean region: Italy, France, Monaco. I was amazed by the exotic plants I saw in this particular geographic region and their colours. Often vivid, bright, sensually curious. Plants became my interest field, together with fruit plant trees, like Lemons or Clementines. You may often find this particular segment of my creation as one of my biggest inspirations.

Concept

Julija Tumelyte is a highly successful Lithuanian artist. In 2011 she graduated from Vilnius Art Academy Master studies and started to develop an original painting style. Her paintings are recognisable from bright colours, strong expressive manner, sharp line & intense colour contrast. African people portraits, exotic animals & plants, nature & abstract landscapes appears in creative themes.
In 2019 she has started to explore watercolour medium and to mix it with other painting techniques, landscape & text - she is in constant search of a unique mix between gentle medium and a strong colour, intense dominant line.
From a conceptual basis she has mixed various travel & cultural experiences with a vivid COLOUR to create NEW & CONTEMPORARY painting language.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
