Piccinelli likes to contemplate the clouds. Since childhood, he has been fascinated by the movement of clouds by elusive shapes, by filtered light, by whites and grays declined in a thousand different values.
The early morning rain is a subtle reminder that even in the calmest, most tranquil moments, life continues to unfold smoothly. She invites us to slow down, listen attentively and feel the sweetness of each moment, just as raindrops kiss each leaf with tenderness.
The title of the work refers to a Bob Dylan song "Early Morning Rain" which is part of the 1970 album "Self Portrait".
Here is an excerpt of the lyrics:
I'm a long way from home
And I missed my loved one so
In the early morning rain, mm
With nowhere to go"
