"Natasha" is a unique and original contemporary expressionist artwork, made with acrylic, aerosol can and oily pastels on linen canvas, stretched on chassis.
This painting is part of my series of flower women, all of delicate and intense beauty. Flowers impose themselves forcefully and harmonize with the face, they are a bit like facets of a being, the conscious and the unconscious, thus creating a duality in the work. In this series of paintings, highlighting the inherent characteristics of a face, I seek to reveal states of mind, with all their strength and fragility, subtle mixture of emotions and thoughts of our inner self. I like to work on the idea of what is, what is shown, what is perceived, what is interpreted.
The force/fragility ambivalence is accentuated by the varied expressionist touch, on the one hand through a work of transparency and details and on the other hand more raw and wheeled keys. Range of bright and contrasting colors. A glossy varnish is applied to the canvas. The edges of the painting are painted for an aesthetic rendering. The hook system is provided.
