"Origin", a contemporary work made with acrylic, spray paint and oil pastels on linen canvas, stretched on a key frame. This work is part of my series of women with flowers, both of a fragile and ephemeral beauty. Beauty in the natural. The woman's face is deliberately overexposed in order to play on the contrasts of light and shadow. The use of complementary tones intensifies this effect of contrast in the work. A mysterious look for this woman-flower, as if she held a secret ... The touch is varied and expressionist with a rendering bordering on the abstract giving an enigmatic aspect to the work. A bright and luminous color palette is used, mainly between yellows, reds and violets. A glossy varnish is applied on the canvas. The work is ready to be hung and the edges of the canvas are painted for an aesthetic look.
