As the year 2024, the Year of the Dragon, arrived, I was positively preparing my mind for a good year with a renewed spirit. I suddenly thought of the god of thunder, the god of wind, and a dragon on a journey, and created this work by overlapping life and journey. The message I wanted to convey was: Your journey, my journey, everyone's journey. Then I want to live my life smiling and enjoying every moment. In Japanese, the title is "Ichiro Junpu. I wrote "HAVE A NICE JURNEY OF LIFE" in English to convey the message to those who cannot read Japanese. The drum bachi is also hooked to the dragon's horn, and the dragon is relaxing and looking to the future, while the thunder god, wind god and dragon are talking about something. They all get along well and are holding gourds filled with sake. They travel brightly and cheerfully, enjoying their days. I think the colorful tones of this painting will bring out a bright atmosphere when displayed. This painting is made of handmade paper (paper with uneven fibers like Japanese paper) made by a Nepalese artist, and acrylic paints were applied to the canvas. It also comes with a frame that I painted the colors on. The size of the work is measured from the outside of the frame. Created in 2024.
