Description

In 2020, DefTech celebrated their 20th anniversary with the "Def Tech Anniversary Music Art Exhibition", and we were given the task to listen to DefTech's songs and draw the art we felt from them. Def Tech's songs are encouraging songs, songs that make you face your own identity, songs that make you be kind to someone, all of them are very good songs. I chose the song "take it HIGHER! I drew this picture with all my heart, hoping that people who see it will have a happy feeling while feeling the best vibes from the famous song.
In junior high and high school, I enjoyed skateboarding and surfing with my friends, and I also loved reggae, hip-hop, and punk. My message in my work is that I believe in peace, that we can get along without gender, nationality, race, age, or any other kind of creature. I want to live my life with respect for others, including non-human creatures. Acrylic painting on wooden panel.

Concept

"In the late '80s, the artwork that appeared in skateboard board designs and Western music jacket art stuck in my mind as a junior high school student at the time. I thought it would be great if someday my drawings could be used for skateboard boards or CD jackets, so I started drawing pictures like crazy.
When I was in my second year of high school, I met a Noh mask artist and became fascinated by traditional Japanese craftsmanship, and became an apprentice as a mask maker.
American street culture and traditional Japanese craftsmanship have influenced my style. Even though they are two different worlds, they have something in common and it was natural for me to be drawn to them.
In 2020, my concept for my future work will be to create something that I hope will make people who see my work smile, happy, joyful, and relaxed.

Does this art work need a frame?

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
