Materials: acrylic paint, map of Tokyo (Yamanote Line Otsuka Station area), brass foil, plastic pieces from the beach, pen, canvas ▷TOKYO MONSTER_GoTo Paradise, Concept: (continued from series description) Looking back on history, people have a background of overcoming the rough times by praying and hoping for relief. Environmental changes, wars, pandemics, economic downturns, and the present day is also in the midst of an unstable world. Therefore, I added elements that suggest a future of salvation by citing Buddhist decorations that evoke the image of a Buddha in a fighting rage phase and the Pure Land philosophy, and frame-by-frame expressions that show the passage of time like an emaki (picture scroll) or manga (comic book). What human beings need to overcome the turning point of time is the light of hope, unchanged in the past and the present. ▷Concept of this work The work depicts an Ark from this world to a future of salvation in which Housoge (flowers blooming in paradise) blooms in profusion; a red ribbon-like object overlaid with DNA imagery indicates the path of life flowing through the time axis. The circle is said to mean a return to nothingness. It expresses the potential of people to purify themselves of defects and move into a brilliant future. *Screen protective burnish is coated and a cord is attached to the back for wall hanging. *Co-seal (simple certificate) is attached.
