As you gaze at my artwork, I hope you can't help but be transported into my world, sailing around the globe with my family for seven years. An incredible journey: 7 years, 30,000 nautical miles / 55,000 kilometers, 28 countries. Storms, waves, transatlantic passages, the almost incomprehensible vastness of the Pacific, weeks with no land in sight, isolated islands...
The "Terra Mystica" series is a celebration of the mysteries of the earth, capturing its raw power and ethereal beauty. This work was inspired by the memory of an anchorage in the Bahamas, when suddenly the sea appeared almost white and the twilight set in with a golden hue.
