Everyone is having a great Christmas with whom they love, family, and friends. The artist is healing by herself in a red Santa Claus skirt in the garden where her favorite red poinsettias and fruity fruition form. Perhaps she is getting ready to become Santa Claus and distribute gifts to people.

Mia Kim is an award-winning South Korean painter whose art has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally, as well as in Japan and the United States. Her works express the daily life of contemporary man, constantly busy in a rapidly changing city. Kim’s narratives are conveyed through simple shapes, vibrant colors and bold lines. She uses both acrylic and oil painting on canvas.

My work aims an artist's own story which is quite personal and descriptive. Small but touching experience felt in everyday life through 「The work looking into myself」. Childhood memories and inner story. This is not just an artist's own story but a self-portrait of everyone living today which is rapidly changing.

Recently through ‘Urban Landscape Project’, I am not just representing loneliness and mind of people today by a foliage plant’s indoor purification and primarily function to watch leaves in indoor space of the dreary city, but working data-on focusing data-on how the space changes when the plants are laid in indoor and outer space.
