“Wishing thread ceremony” of the embroiders
The images of the artisans wearing the traditional Nhat Binh dress, perform the "Wishing Thread ceremony" back to the "Temple of the ancestors of embroidery" to show the gratefulness who had created the first embroidery art foundation in Vietnam.
In "Temple of the ancestors of embroidery", there is a giant needle was made from the scarp metal, bomb and bullet shell collected after the war and melted into a needle.
The meaning of the painting is with the same material if we make bombs and guns for the war, it is the caused of pain and suffering for human. But if we make the needle and thread, we can help women sew and embroider to create an income for many happy families.

My name is Bam Bi (Vietnamese name, Võ Hoàng Phương Uyên), a traditional painting artist and co-founder of B/S Art Studio in Vietnam.
I established B/S Art Studio with the motto "Creativity with Vietnamese Culture and Identity." I hope that through painting, music and organizing art experience activities, I can share my knowledge and passion about the beauty of my homeland, national culture and traditional values with everyone.
