Through lived experiences, culture itself preserves moments and memories, and with that, it proposes its own form of simultaneity, in which all of its images and components can coexist into the future. The recurring use of red splashes of paint draws attention to the simplicity and primitive nature of the artwork, just as traditions and culture come to reside within us in modern society through many forms — wounds, scars and markings — all coming up to the surface of the self and expressing the beauty of that which is archaic.
