Our Do eat yourself project (working title) is a pictorial and figurative installation created by four hands. It's a diptych presenting two naked figures. Riddled with frustration, they are determined to devour each other to appease their consumer appetites. In ridiculous positions evoking frenzied neurosis, they are both depicted in the foreground, against an apocalyptic backdrop. Our intention is to create a modern mythology by creating portraits of cruel and macabre characters to embody an ultimate perception of the human species. Separated from each other, but in the same space, they are depicted in an agonizing natural setting with gaping wounds. Meaning neither dawn nor dusk, the canvases are impregnated with a pink color evoking an endless forest fire. Our aim is to create a modern mythology by creating cruel and macabre portraits of characters who embody an ultimate perception of the human species. Separated from one another, but in the same space, they are depicted in an agonizing natural setting with gaping wounds. Meaning neither dawn nor dusk, the canvases are impregnated with a pink color evoking an endless forest fire. So, by creating two full-length portraits on a realistic scale, we want to challenge the viewer on societal facts and generate a brutal exchange with a situation in which they can project themselves.
