The opposite side of the silhouette… leading by the hand or is it being led by the hand?

What does it mean to respect everything? It means finding a place for each individual where is not defined by order, size, or superiority. It is an act to dissipate the assessments.

In an endless effort to arrange things equally when its worth cannot be equal. This attempt creates emotions that resemble neither vanity nor fondness.
Can objects be lined up equally as we try repeatedly? Or should they?

Ko KIKUCHI tackles this thesis through his works. He sees objects in his art as individuals on the flat ground. He gives them mutual relationships. However, in the process of lining them up and connecting them, some unsharable and unrelatable individuals emerge. He cannot do anything but helplessly watch the incessantly moving objects that emerge in the inevitable oddness.

KIKUCHI’s perspective on finding equivalent value in things is inspired by the traditional Japanese paintings, architectures and crafts which feature flat and continuous designs.
