This work is a painting on canvas of an image created by photographing a roadside flower, "Angelica angustifolia," and then deconstructing, reconstructing, and combining the shapes found in the photograph. By breaking up the original image into flat color surfaces, the shapes that appear lose their role of forming the image and become parallel entities with no hierarchical relationship. By erasing the shapes and connecting the different parts, another world emerges.
