In today's information-rich society, the value of information itself seems to be diminishing day by day.
In spite of this situation, we are fascinated by this information, and we can't stay away from receiving and sending information.
And in a society overflowing with information, we seem to be losing our own identity.
This work is a portrait of a specific person, painted with a large amount of paint on canvas.
By treating color as a metaphorical expression of information, and by layering various colors over and over again, as if to give form to sensations and thoughts, the information of the person is lost, and by repeating this process, unique information is generated from the person.
People have the ability to find meaning in what they see, no matter how abstract it may be. It's like seeking out information that really matters to you.
By presenting this work, I wanted to evaluate contemporary society and question what "true identity" is, seeing the times as they are.
