Description

The motif of this work is the memory of snow.
I was born in a snowy country in Japan.
I made an abstract picture of the landscape I once saw and the memory of snow that sleeps in me.

The work is framed by attaching a wooden panel of the same size as the canvas from the back.
The size of the work is the size before the panel is attached.

Concept

I create paintings in a semi-abstract manner while thinking about orientation and emotion toward phenomena. Although paintings are two-dimensional "objects," I am attracted to the fact that they can create complex spaces and free color compositions. Therefore, while he is strongly concerned with surface textures and brushstrokes, he creates his works by carefully composing his paintings. In recent years, he has focused on the theme of memory, and his main works are landscapes that express the recalling and forgetting of memories through a combination of realistic depictions and rough brushstrokes.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.
