    Description

This series of works deeply conveys the pain and suffering of the Ukrainian people, woven into every page of their history. For centuries, Ukraine has been forced to fight against invasion and resist attempts of genocide.

The burlap symbolizes the harvest, as Ukrainians have traditionally used it to store grain and flour — the sources of life. Cross-stitch embroidery represents the unique identity and centuries-old cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. The black canvas serves as a reminder of Ukraine’s fertile and rich soil, which has always been the heart of the nation. The red color, pulsating in each image, symbolizes the blood shed for the freedom and independence of their homeland.

These are not just works of art; they are the voice of memory, calling for unity and revival.

    Concept

My creative research is centered around answering fundamental questions such as "Who am I?", "Why do I exist?", "What is my main purpose?", "Who are my ancestors?", and "Where am I going?". I believe that a person's worldview and understanding of the world are largely shaped by external sources, particularly the media and education. If a person can clearly answer these questions for themselves, they become less susceptible to manipulation. It is the first step towards taking responsibility for one's own life and creating a conscious society.

My goal as an artist is to offer alternative perspectives on reality that I have discovered through my research and to encourage people to question their own beliefs and assumptions about the world. By answering these questions for myself through deep introspection and observation of society, I communicate my understanding of the world through my artwork.
