“Prickly insides”. Concept:
The artwork is a self-portrait. The image appeared in my head in an instant. The open inside from which hobnails stick out. Spiky hobnails are the psyche’s response to all surrounding dangers. It is a reaction to fears, criticism, life struggles. A lot can be related to this artwork, but if you answer briefly, then this is a reaction to life. I am learning to adapt to living conditions, to new viruses, to competition, to tests. Like a cactus in the desert overgrown with thorns, I have overgrown with internal thorns. I myself feel these thorns.
"I am"
All artworks from this series are my self-portraits. Images come to mind in an instant. They are a manifestation of various uncontrolled deep mental processes in my work with subsequent representation.
I believe that an artist should have a voice, talk about the topical issues, raise important critical issues of modern life through creativity. However, in addition to the conceptual, the unconscious comes to me, which I cannot always explain.
The series is inexhaustible and will continue. In this way I study myself, my identity and psyche.
Artwork “Prickly insides” took part in the 365daysafter project, organized by MOKONSHU.
