series "Terra own our"
acrylic, textured paste, thread, canvas
mixed media
15 x 15 x 2 cm
The work depicts armpit with hair.
I was inspired by human nature. The hair on an armpit reminded me of a bush, and the pulsing wreaths under skin reminded me of streams. All this is beautiful and reminds me of the nature of the planet.
As an artist, I am in awe of the texture of this contemporary artwork.
This is one of 15 miniatures. Miniatures "Our Lands", 15 artworks, each artwork 15 x 15 cm. The painting depicts elements of male and female bodies.
Miniatures for the "Terra Our Own" series.
The parallels between our own body and the body of the planet we inhabit is what is the concept of this series. The artist sees the body of each person as a separate planet. Each of us has our own forests and rivers, our own countries, cities, towns, our territories and borders. We are presidents and we are citizens. We decide what state our lands are in and how and when to use our resources.
