Whoever has even once seen a field of crocuses in full bloom, will never forget them. Even the sun, sailing over the purple fields of crocuses, reflects that lilac glow. The crocus is not afraid of morning frosts or spring snow. In almost all ancient texts one can find mentions and legends about this flower. I imagine the crocus is present everywhere where spring sets foot, because it's impossible to imagine the breaking of winter without this delicate beauty. The ancient Greeks considered crocuses a symbol of happiness and the flower of the morning dawn Eos. Symbolically, they represent the joy of life, cheerfulness, renewal and the awakening of feelings. Crocuses will serve as a wonderful gift for friends and loved ones as to say: "Thank you for being in my life!"
Crocuses have always touched me so much that I wanted to pick them up in a bouquet and take them home, but I have never picked a single flower. I don't think they will last long inside a house and I don't want to take that beauty away from other people who will be as inspired by blooming crocuses as I am.
