    Description

What is fear for you? It's a sculpture, a Jewel and a paint all together.

This artwork is from the series: Abbi il coraggio di conoscere, in English"Have the courage to know".

It is an opportunity to discuss again about progress and what we can do to really improve our behavior and attitude. A chance to imagine new and positive solutions for a better life. Within our planet, and in the cosmos. (But what is, human behavior? What is, a better life?). I think that the answer is within us. Inside of us, is where real progress resides. By looking inwards, you will start to know more about yourself. Be brave, know your emotions. Ask why and wonder. Become more aware of everything inside and outside of you. Face your fears and what you think are your failures. Try to embrace them. Because fear too can grow and become violence. So craft your chances! We also need to overcome our anthropocentrism.
(Why do we think that, we are so special, above anybody and everything?) like thinking that the planet is ours just because we live on it or in a country. This is not our land.
This is where we are born and where we can really flourish. Rewrite your thoughts. Let's change short-term gratifications or getting stuck in the loop of new trends, of new gadgets to buy. Let's buy virtues instead of things. Because in the lack of awareness, ignorance prevails. And awareness doesn't need any rules. Only ignorance does. Awareness is following nature using what we have. And we have so much. Most of it is already inside of us! So forget about those mass delusions, because they don't work. Try instead to think that: We live on this planet, but we are all under the same sky. The whole apparently un-animate with the animate beings. All together in harmony. Let's all benefit from it. Becoming one, more aware and, two start by applying accordingly. Using more frontal lobe, and less of your reptilian brain. I am sure that in time, we will achieve these results and far beyond. And the best time is starting now, using some of the solutions you already have. The use of affirmations for instance...That, is why I made Have the courage to know. To reach everybody in all levels of society. The good news is that some of us already started. Carl Sagan for instance. And you, can too, if you want and act for it.

Remember: "Imagination is more important than knowledge" by Albert Einstein.

So what are you waiting for?
Have the courage to know now.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Luca Facchini defines himself as a multifaceted artist because we are all part of nature. And nature doesn’t manifest herself in just one shape, but in the whole diversity. That's why he loves to play with mediums, for instance for Luca a sculpture can be a photograph, a canvas can be a sculpture, a mix of mediums can compose an installation. Or a paint is just a paint depending on what realm of his art you are walking.
He is always inspired by nature and he does his best to love and care for this planet and all beings. One of his purposes is to constantly look for ways to inspire himself and others throughout his creative process and by approaching situations in different ways. By constantly asking why and keeping on wondering. As a solution and mistake driven learning oriented, he change perspectives and points of view in order to lock off on what he initially cannot solve or just to develop new ideas.
Luca is also actively crafting a better world by using apparently simple but precise tools like affirmations as titles on his works, by promoting beauty and practical solutions in everyday life and by telling stories that can inspire and allow you to think, study and apply what you have just experienced. He transcends throughout his creative attitude. Grasping what he thinks that can be improved, fixed or approached differently. Trying to learn from the past, living the present and finally shaping the future.
