    Description

    What is Broken is an abstract painting made with individual silk threads. The setting is evocative of flowers trampled in a field, dies used in moulding and the feminine forms. Executed in brilliant colours palletteof pinks, fuschias, orange, yellows, reds juxtaposed against dark voids and lines suggestive of a deep emptiness or nothingness. The abstract references our tendency as humans to camouflage pain with a surface gaiety.
