With a dash of humour and a twist of irony, this series, created at Punk Street Studios, Los Angeles , is inspired by some of my Idols & Heroes. As I translate my version of these visionaries I'll have their music blasting or their films blaring in the background as I work. I hear their voices, their lyrics, their rhythm... they are infusing the paint and are coded into every piece. I like to think of my icons sharing a cuppa tea and discussing the world. I want my art to hang on your wall and wake you up and make you feel lifted. I want it to resonate with your rebellious heart ...just as it did mine when I created it.
