Pia Andersen decided to dedicate a larger part of her time to work on paper.
Paper is a noble material and it gives you many other possibilities than those of the canvas, although the way she works with different types of pastels, more or less oily,
makes her able to create a space in the color here as well. - The paper itself adds one more dimension
depending on the grains and structure of the surface, leaving tiny light glimpses as an inner power of light.
-
Nature is as always Pia Andersen’s inspiration. This work is called ESPACIO FLORIDO meaning the blooming space.
-
The paper size is 116 x 105 cm while the picture itself measures 100 x 90 cm. the work is not framed, but Pia Andersen wants to recommend
framing it with a passepartout and, if possible, with museum´s glass. - The museum´s glass tends to strengthen the colors, it
protects the paper and it has no reflections in the surface.
